Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a Heavy Civil Foreman to oversee on-site operations for complex civil construction projects in the Virginia area. You will act as the main liaison between field crews and site management, ensuring safe, efficient work aligned with plans and schedules.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, blueprints-reading ability, and a solid understanding of utility installations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underground utility experience and at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
• Strong understanding of utility installation methods and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred, CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crew activities on-site.
• Oversee installation of storm, water, and sanitary sewer systems.
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation.
• Lead by example and enforce safety protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring crew members.
