Job summary

Jacobs, in the Eastern United States, is seeking a Heavy Civil Senior Estimator to develop capital cost estimates for transportation and transit projects. You will review design documents, proposals and subcontractor costs, while assessing risk and cost impacts for estimates ranging from $5M to $10B.

The role interfaces with clients and internal teams to produce accurate, timely estimates. Bring extensive heavy civil estimating experience, knowledge of cost, risk and schedule relationships, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive estimating and construction experience related to heavy civil construction.
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in transportation projects.
• Proficient use of MS Office products, HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software and BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for transportation/transit projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records, and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field

Certifications such as CEP CCP PMP CCM are a plus
