Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Heavy Civil Senior Estimator to support projects in Michigan. The role involves developing capital cost estimates for transportation and transit projects, reviewing proposals, and validating change orders while engaging with clients and internal teams.

The position offers a hybrid work model, with work conducted at Jacobs offices in the Eastern US region and two days on site as needed. The package includes comprehensive health benefits and a robust 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive estimating and construction experience related to heavy civil construction.
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in transportation projects.
• Proficient use of MS Office products, HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software and BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for transportation/transit projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records, and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.
