Kimmel & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop accurate, competitive bids for complex construction projects in New York.

You will analyze drawings, specs, and scopes, perform quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver timely, well-supported proposals. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of estimating experience, strong cost-analysis skills, and familiarity with NYSDOT, MTA, and NYCDDC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of estimating, engineering, cost tracking and site surveying.
• Thorough understanding of estimating practices, labor productivity and cost analysis.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans and contract documents.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Primavera, HCSS, OST and AGTEK.
• Experience with NYSDOT, MTA and NYCDDC projects highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Review bid documents and develop accurate estimates from drawings and specs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, cost analyses and rate assessments.
• Coordinate pricing with subcontractors and vendors, conduct buyouts and requisitions.
• Visit sites to verify conditions, assumptions and construction methods.
• Develop pricing strategies, owner estimates and risk mitigations.
• Assess contract risks and coordinate with Contracts to address exposures.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering and Operations to prepare bids.
• Prepare comprehensive, RFP-compliant proposals with detailed pricing and clarifications.
• Support project startup meetings and cost tracking throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain strong relationships with subs and vendors for pricing and delivery.
