Kimmel & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating for civil heavy highway projects across New Jersey.

Based in South Plainfield, you will develop detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and competitive bids for site preparation, utilities, highways, bridges, and paving. You will collaborate with internal teams, review drawings and specs, assess risks, and work with subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and timely submissions.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience in field engineering, project engineering, or estimating for heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil, highway, paving, utilities, and site prep construction.

Aufgaben

• Prepare competitive bids for heavy civil projects across New Jersey.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to establish scope and identify discrepancies.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and indirect costs.
• Evaluate risks, alternatives, and value engineering opportunities to maximize value.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely bid submissions.
• Maintain complete bidding documentation and ensure proposals meet company standards.
