Job summary

Kimmel & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator for commercial HVAC construction projects in the New York metro area. You will independently prepare detailed estimates, develop proposals and cost breakdowns, and participate in pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs to assess field conditions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of estimating experience with a commercial mechanical subcontractor, is comfortable with Excel, and eager to learn new estimating software as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or construction related discipline is a plus, but not required.
• Genuine interest in learning and improving from the people around you and on your own.
• Comfort with Excel and standard office tools; familiarity with estimating software or openness to learning it is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC construction projects.
• Develop proposals, cost breakdowns and participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Perform job site walkthroughs to assess field conditions firsthand.
