Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead strategic healthcare initiatives within integrated delivery systems in Washington, DC. This role emphasizes project management, healthcare analytics, and business process reengineering to solve complex problems for Veterans' healthcare programs.

You will cultivate client relationships, develop cross-functional plans, manage risks and budgets, and communicate findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years professional work experience.
• Experience leading programs including planning, initiating, managing, executing and closing out programs in support of an integrated Health Care System.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and sustain client relationships, supporting organizational growth, and oversee teams to ensure strategic and effective management of projects.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
• Manage risk, budget, and performance; assess resource needs based on scope and timelines.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Serve as a liaison between consulting teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to organizational knowledge development.
• Analyze complex project problems and craft innovative solutions involving schedule, technology, and financial management.
• Monitor progress and adjust to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals.
