Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company seeking an Integration Engineer to support interface design, training, and validation for BD products within healthcare environments. You will engage with customer teams, coordinate with cross-functional groups, and drive project documentation while adhering to BD policies.

Ideal candidates have healthcare tech experience, HL7/EDI familiarity, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
• Knowledge of HIS integration systems, BD products and hospital workflow.
• Three or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and knowledge of HL7 and EDI standards.
• Experience with integrated delivery networks/multi-facility health systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings / conference calls with customers to facilitate interface design, training, and validation.
• Establish rapport with customers that is conducive to long-term business relationships.
• Provide team support and in-depth product information on BD products as assigned by the manager.
• Interact with customer teams, gain consensus within teams and deliver concise communication.
• Consult Senior/Principal Integration Engineers as appropriate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of BD products and how they integrate with customer systems.
• Interact with cross-functional teams focusing on medium to large health care organizations.
• Participate in training activities and product/version upgrade validation.
• Be detail oriented, multitask, and implement projects with company objectives.
• Maintain backups and documentation; work independently; follow policies; timely project documentation.
• Monitor updates on escalated critical issues; adapt to change.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience

Knowledge of HIS integration systems, BD products and hospital workflow

Three or more years in healthcare environment with technical involvement

Experience with integrated delivery networks / multi-facility health systems
