Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to oversee patrols and security staff, ensuring the safety of facilities, staff, patients, and visitors. You will assign posts, interpret policies, train personnel, and guide customer service resolutions.

The role requires 5+ years in security with supervisory experience, healthcare security background preferred, and certification timelines including DAAT training and IAHS supervisory certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Associate degree or 30 college credits in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• DAAT or Defensive Tactics training required within 3 months of hire.
• IAHSS Supervisory Certification within 90 days of hire required.
• 5+ years of security experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, and direct security staff engaged in patrolling and securing CW facilities and grounds.
• Plan and manage work schedules to provide adequate security coverage at all times.
• Coordinate with Security Leaders to ensure at least one Security Leader is on duty.
• Inspect facilities, staff, patients, and visitors; prepare security reports and analyses.
• Assist in development of departmental CW policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and manage crowd control and related activities.
• Participate in department training programs and staff development.
