Job summary

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Sales Consultant focused on new business development within National Accounts and Public Sector. The role leads sales strategies and builds relationships with external partners, prospects, and internal teams to drive growth in self-insured markets.

The ideal candidate will present to C-suite prospects and large consultant practices, strategize proposals, and manage multiline coverage including medical, stop loss, dental, and vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance Industry or related field; equivalent experience accepted with additional years.
• 8 years sales/healthcare experience in a similar sales position.
• Current health and life licenses for MD, DC, VA required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals and profitable growth for the organization.
• Position and sell multiple lines of coverage (medical, stop loss, dental, vision).
• Strategize on proposals to meet client objectives and deliver value.
• Be proactive, organized, and track sales data in Salesforce and other platforms.
• Develop long-term relationships with internal and external constituents.
• Lead a team of subject matter experts for finalist meetings.
• Regularly engage consultant partners and keep them informed on new products and updates.
