Job summary

MaineHealth Corporate is seeking a Senior Operational Transformation Specialist to lead strategic improvement initiatives that align operational excellence with systemwide goals. You will drive process improvement, change facilitation, and performance-driven initiatives through scientific methods and cross‑functional collaboration.

The Specialist II role builds relationships with leaders at all levels, including clinicians and front-line teams, to assess and enhance systems for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Operations Management, Leadership, Organizational Development, Improvement Science, Behavioral Science, Systems Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP Certificate Preferred.
• Five years of leadership and healthcare experience in performance improvement, with program leadership preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with commitment to Black Belt within 3 years; Lean Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Applied use of PDCA, PDSA, and Kaizen methods; strong cross-team collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic improvement initiatives aligned with systemwide goals and priorities.
• Drive process improvement, change facilitation, and performance-driven initiatives.
• Build relationships with leaders at all levels across the region, including clinicians and front-line staff.
• Plan, execute and monitor processes tied to the MaineHealth Strategic Plan Scorecard and Strategic Plan.
