Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Operations Excellence to oversee system-wide operational initiatives aligning with strategic goals. You will manage cross-functional programs from intake through stabilization, driving efficiency, productivity, and clinical and operational growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, master's degree and/or PMP preferred.
• 5–7 years project management experience managing complex projects from inception to completion. Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects including leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Concurrently manages several large-scale projects and oversees implementation and execution of project plans in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Defines project scope, duration, resources, and cost, and determines best approach to achieve objectives.
• Documents current and future-state processes, maintains project schedules, assesses risks, and oversees workflows and implementation.
• Identifies risks impacting timelines and deliverables; escalates and develops mitigation strategies.
• Uses KPIs (WHPUOS, productivity, financials, patient experience) to assess initiative effectiveness.
• Applies PM, change management, and process improvement tools (PDSA, LEAN, rapid cycle).
• Communicates status to stakeholders; prepares summaries for executives; may present portfolio to leadership.
• Coordinates post-project reviews and lessons learned; builds relationships with owners and leaders.
• Creates standard intake forms, monitoring tools, and reports; advances organizational PM maturity.
• Mentors colleagues on PM principles and best practices.
