Job summary

Stanford Medicine Partners is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee timekeeping and scheduling operations across SMP and affiliated medical groups. You will coordinate with the parent company’s shared services payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, tax compliance requirements, and workforce management practices.
• Experience managing full-cycle payroll operations, including processing, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
• Healthcare or medical group payroll experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Workday, ADP, and other workforce management/timekeeping systems preferred.
• Experience implementing scheduling or timekeeping systems preferred.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity across payroll and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Management for Medical Groups: oversee end-to-end payroll for affiliated medical groups; validate, process, reconcile, and distribute pay.
• Timekeeping Administration: review, validate, and approve time records; resolve discrepancies; maintain policies and documentation.
• Scheduling Operations: manage scheduling systems and lead implementation of scheduling tools; ensure staffing templates and standards.
• Workforce/Timekeeping Systems: lead implementation, testing, training, and optimization of systems; drive automation and reporting.
• Leadership and Collaboration: partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and shared services; guide managers and teams.
