Intercoastal Medical Group in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced IT Support & Network Engineer to join our technology team. The role combines hands-on technical support, network engineering, infrastructure operations, and telecommunications across a multi-site medical group.

The ideal candidate will strengthen enterprise network reliability, performance, and security while supporting day-to-day IT operations.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of professional IT experience, with experience supporting both end users and IT infrastructure.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and wireless technologies.
Strong knowledge of VoIP cloud/hybrid phone system/contact center solutions.
Experience supporting Windows‑based environments and common enterprise applications.
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and elevate appropriately when needed.
Strong communication, documentation, organization, and customer‑service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for users, workstations, peripherals, applications, and network connectivity.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network and telecommunications infrastructure.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, voice, and connectivity issues across multiple locations.
Support network security, firewall, VPN, and access‑control technologies.
Assist with infrastructure upgrades, technology deployments, and IT projects.
Monitor network and system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Work with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Provide responsive, professional support to clinical and administrative staff.
Participate in an on‑call or after‑hours support rotation as needed.
