Intercoastal Medical Group in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Health Care Services team. You will assess patients in hospital and office settings, collaborating with physicians and other professionals to deliver evidence-based care that supports recovery and well-being.

Complex patient care, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams are key aspects of this role. The position is full-time, with a daytime schedule Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the appropriate jurisdiction.
• Accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments during hospital rounds and in-office visits.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Triage patients, monitor vital signs, reconcile medications and allergies.
• Maintain equipment sterilization and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures or exams.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) within our Health Care Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. You will be responsible for assessing patients in the hospital setting and providing patient care in the office setting. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes recovery and well-being. Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment. Ultimately, your work will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care provided by our organization.

Salary will commensurate with education and experience.

Hours (Full-Time): Monday-Friday, day shift; no evenings or weekends

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for Cardiology personnel
• Basic knowledge of patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

• Perform patient assessments (during hospital rounds).
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Triage patients, obtain vital signs, reconcile medications and allergies; and document changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Maintain equipment sterilization and keep exam room properly stocked with supplies.
• Assist with inventory and order supplies.
• Assist the provider with in-office procedures or exams.
• Triage clinical messages, manage prescription renewal requests, obtain prior authorization for ordered medications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• May be required to cover other providers and float to other locations when needed.
