Job summary

DrFirst, Inc. is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join the Professional Services team.

You will design, build, and support integrations across payers, hospitals, and EMR/EHR platforms, shaping next-generation connections for medication management and improving customer implementation experiences. You will also lead payer integrations for the ePA platform, scale connectivity, and own technical relationships with payer partners while partnering with Product to deliver reliable integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare integration engineering.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR, X12 EDI) and interoperability challenges.
• Working knowledge of payer system architectures and electronic prior authorization standards and workflows.
• Experience with languages used in healthcare tech stacks (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/Node.js).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Strong communication and ability to lead technical discussions with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support integrations with hospitals, health systems, and EMR/EHR vendors.
• Scale payer connectivity and ePA workflows, owning technical execution and business relationships with payer partners.
• Collaborate with Product to shape scalable payer integration capabilities and document onboarding processes.
• Build automation, APIs, and self-service tools to speed integration development, testing, and certification.
• Incorporate testing, monitoring, and compliance to meet HIPAA/HITECH in production.
