Job summary
DrFirst, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the eRx Enterprise and Gadget team. You will build cloud-native microservices and integrations across EHR platforms, focusing on Gadget and RCopia EPCS/PDMP workflows.
This remote-first role emphasizes high performance, scalability, and secure coding practices. You will work with a distributed team to deliver real-time interoperability among providers, payers, pharmacies, and patients, applying AI to improve code quality and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of Java development with Spring (Boot/Cloud).
- 3+ years building cloud-native apps on AWS (S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS).
- 3+ years with distributed messaging systems (Kafka).
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems with low latency.
- AI-first mindset with hands-on use of AI tools for coding and testing.
Responsibilities
- Build Gadget, the pharmacy agent, from design to production.
- Contribute to Rcopia EPCS and PDMP capabilities.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable Java integrations.
- Build cloud-native microservices on AWS with auto-scaling and observability.
- Integrate with major EHR platforms via HL7, FHIR, APIs, and Mirth.
