Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to translate vendor specifications into mapping docs that align data with Enterprise Data Platform structures. You will bridge business, vendors, and IT to ensure data is integrated, transformed, validated, and delivered with high quality.

You will leverage Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks to support data quality, governance, and data stewardship while communicating findings to clinical, finance, and operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, data mapping, ETL, data warehouse, or related environments.
• Advanced-level skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping docs, business requirements, and technical specs.
• Ability to interpret source system docs, file specs, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Excel and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Confluence, etc.).
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production deployment, and post-deployment validation.
• Experience with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or regulated data domains.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Convert vendor file specs, layouts, and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Serve as a liaison among business, vendors, and technical teams for data integration and delivery.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain accuracy.
• Provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
