Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. You will supervise direct labor and manage contracted work to ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Project Manager, developing look-ahead schedules, and maintaining progress reports to control costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare construction.
• Knowledge of building codes, blueprints, and safety standards.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites.
• Strong communication and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures for construction and staffing.
• Develop and use look-ahead schedules to monitor progress.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings with the Project Manager.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Inform all parties of progress and resolve issues with supervisors, subs, and clients.
