Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead design and construction projects across North Florida, based in Jacksonville. You will manage budgets, schedules, quality, and safety from concept to occupancy.

Work with the Corporate Facilities Department to coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with healthcare codes and standards. This role requires strong communication and on-site leadership, with variable shifts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; healthcare project experience may substitute.
• Professional Engineering (PE) or Architect registration preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience as Owner’s representative on healthcare facilities or similar.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with high-level administration.
• Knowledge of codes such as NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities, NFPA 101.
• Familiarity with design/construction contracting methods and AIA standard agreements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with e-Builder or MS Project preferred.
• On-call for project emergencies; standard workweek is 8am–5pm; flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from concept to turnover and occupancy for new construction and renovations, from under $20k to $50M+.
• Assemble design teams and lead RFP/bid processes.
• Create and maintain conceptual budgets and master schedules; monitor budgets and schedules.
• Review drawings and specs for quality, code compliance, and contract conformance.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to minimize disruption to patients and families; run regular progress meetings.
• Present projects to committees; ensure regulatory agreements and infection prevention coordination.
• Closeout projects, handover, and ensure all inspections and certifications are completed.
• Identify risks, barriers, and countermeasures; communicate with stakeholders and Administration.
• Additional duties as needed.
