Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead design and construction projects across the enterprise in North Florida. You will manage budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction from design through occupancy and punch list.

Responsibilities include coordinating with planning and interior design staff, leading bid processes, and ensuring adherence to healthcare codes and Nemours standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; healthcare experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as Owner’s representative on healthcare facilities; managing groups of trades and contracts.
• PE or Architect registration preferred, but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication with high-level administration.
• Knowledge of healthcare codes and contracts (NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines, NFPA 101; AIA contracts).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from concept to turnover and occupancy, ranging from under $20k to $50M+.
• Lead design reviews and select design consultants; ensure code compliance and quality.
• Establish and monitor project budgets and master schedules; review change orders to control cost and time.
• Coordinate activities with hospital staff to minimize impacts to families and patients; conduct regular meetings.
• Present projects to governance committees and maintain required regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Oversee contractors, vendors and inspections to ensure delivery on time, budget and quality.
