BEAR Construction Company seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects in the Chicago area. The role oversees multiple projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality align with company goals.

The Senior PM will manage teams across preconstruction to closeout, develop detailed schedules and budgets, and maintain strong client and design-team relationships to grow BEAR’s backlog. Healthcare experience and OSHA awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction project management experience, preferably healthcare.
• Experience managing healthcare projects in occupied facilities including renovations and phased construction.
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements (ICRA, ILSM, regulatory standards).
• Experience leading projects through all phases: preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, construction, closeout.
• Strong cost modeling, conceptual estimating, GMP development, scope validation, and budget management.

Responsabilités

• Ensure project team alignment with BEAR Construction culture and values.
• Meet financial targets for projects and oversee $8–$15 million in annual projects.
• Communicate effectively through regular project meetings across all phases.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and budgets.
• Mentor and train BEAR team members and coordinate field staff with project superintendent/field manager.
• Build relationships with clients, design teams, and industry partners.
