Medica is a nonprofit health plan serving members across multiple states. The Lead Analyst, Healthcare Analytics provides reporting and analytical support for employer group partners, focusing on claims, cost, utilization, and population health to deliver actionable insights.

This onsite role requires collaboration across stakeholders, advanced SQL/Snowflake/SAS skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare analytics, mathematics, statistics, or analytic related field.
• 7+ years of healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or healthcare reporting experience.
• 5+ years' experience using SQL, SAS or Snowflake programming.
• Experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, and utilization data.
• Experience developing dashboards and visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analyses to support employer group reporting and client consultations.
• Design, develop, and optimize advanced analytic solutions using SQL, Snowflake, SAS, and other tools.
• Build and maintain complex reporting datasets, automated processes, dashboards, and data visualization solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource for data architecture, analytics methodologies, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions and insights.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to the development of analytics capabilities.
