Job summary

Synergy Search is partnering with a rapidly scaling healthcare company headquartered in Nashville to hire an Accounting Manager. This high-impact, visible role will own the month-end close, build scalable accounting processes, and partner directly with senior operational leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, 1–2 years in supervision, a CPA is strongly preferred, and experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 1–2 years in supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is a significant plus.
• Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or comparable ERP systems.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting proficiency.
• Experience with revenue cycle or medical billing accounting preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and speed
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and GL integrity
• Manage and mentor a team of 2–4 staff and senior accountants
• Own revenue recognition and healthcare billing reconciliations
• Coordinate external audits and tax preparation with outside advisors
• Design and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
• Partner with FP&A to support budgeting and forecasting
• Evaluate and implement accounting system improvements
