Job summary

SHR Talent is partnering with a Nashville, TN client to identify a Staff Accountant who will support monthly close, revenue tracking, and regulatory compliance under GAAP. The role reports to Senior Accountants and offers exposure to senior leadership in a dynamic, growing environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid GAAP foundation, advanced Excel skills, and 1–4+ years of accounting experience. A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, and experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1–4+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with large ERP system, a plus
• Prior exposure to the healthcare industry, helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Partner with team members to ensure accurate accounting practices, including revenue tracking and compliance with reporting standards
• Play a key role in managing the monthly financial close and associated processes
• Work closely with Financial Planning & Analysis to develop and deliver meaningful financial reports and operational insights
• Maintain financial integrity by ensuring adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards
• Contribute to internal and external reporting initiatives with timely and thorough analysis
• Support external audit activities through coordination and documentation
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist in consolidation processes
• Help establish and refine accounting policies and internal procedures
• Tackle complex accounting questions by researching and preparing position memos
• Drive efficiency by identifying and implementing process enhancements

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accountants and will be responsible for performing the accounting functions for the company and providing monthly operating information.
