A&H is seeking a Senior Underwriter specializing in medical stop loss to join our growing team. This role evaluates risk, prices stop loss solutions, and underwrites coverage for self-funded employer groups, requiring strong market knowledge and the ability to build trusted relationships with brokers and clients.

With 5–10 years of underwriting experience, you will partner with the Chief Underwriting Officer to tailor pricing, monitor portfolio performance, and contribute to process

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience underwriting stop loss insurance for self-funded employer groups.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or a related field; advanced degree or designations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of stop loss products, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to make sound risk decisions and contribute to portfolio profitability.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite new and renewal stop loss business per guidelines and targets.
• Analyze complex self-funded employer group data (claims, demographics, plan design, funding).
• Partner with the Chief Underwriting Officer to develop pricing solutions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, consultants, TPAs, and clients; participate in presentations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and support profitable growth initiatives.
• Contribute to underwriting process improvements and product enhancements.
