American Water is seeking a Health & Safety Program Manager to lead safety programs across our Illinois operations, including Godfrey. You will train staff, implement enterprise safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with OSHA/regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with management to advance a strong safety culture. Ideal candidates will manage safety data, oversee inspections, and drive improvements while supporting workers’ compensation processes and annual training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety/health related field or equivalent.
• Highly desirable: nationally recognized H&S certification.
• Experience in utility/construction/industrial settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and implement enterprise health and safety programs.
• Train employees on safe practices and procedures.
• Evaluate regulatory changes and update practices accordingly.
• Provide technical safety support to field staff.
• Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze safety performance data and drive improvements.
• Coordinate safety recordkeeping and reporting enterprise-wide.
