Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Project Health and Safety Manager to lead safety programs on a construction site in Springdale, AR. The role focuses on identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, leading training, and enforcing safety policies to prevent incidents.

The position collaborates with branch and project management, subcontractors and craft workers, investigates incidents, and ensures corrective actions are implemented to protect personnel and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of safety and construction experience with OSHA 510/500 certification.
• CSHT and CSP safety certifications preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors.
• Ability to learn and apply local, state, federal and client safety regulations.
• Proven mentorship and leadership skills within safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining the Health and Safety Plan for the project.
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations for employees, subcontractors and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with client, insurers and regulators on audits and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project management, subcontractors and supervisors on safety.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and implement corrective controls.
• Monitor safety performance and advise management to meet standards.
• Attend project management meetings to provide safety input.
• Lead toolbox talks and pre-shift safety briefs.
• Organize safety training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
