Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Health & Safety Supervisor to lead project-specific health and safety initiatives near Monroe, LA. You will ensure compliance with ESS policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations while shaping a proactive safety culture on site.

The role requires driving safety programs, coordinating inspections, investigating incidents, and mentoring field supervision to uphold ESS standards across construction activities.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year bachelor’s degree and six years of related experience, or ten years if non-degreed CSP/ASP/CHST certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour training within the past 3 years.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply expert knowledge of ESS H&S standards, programs and goals.
• Lead site safety orientations for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare required reports and preventive measures.
• Support leadership in fostering a culture of H&S excellence through all project phases.
