Job summary

TriNet in Dublin, CA is seeking a Senior Health Plan Pricing Analyst to determine accurate medical pricing for prospective groups. You will use parity testing tools and pricing models to assess risk, review plans, and ensure carrier requirements are met.

The role relies on mentoring colleagues, collaborating with sales, and handling complex cases such as self-funded groups. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in insurance pricing are preferred; experience with Excel and Salesforce is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Typically 5+ years in insurance pricing or underwriting required.
• Exceptional knowledge of health plan pricing and pricing guidelines.
• Ability to interpret and analyze detailed medical plans and related documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Salesforce.com knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to determine an appropriate medical price based on group risk using multiple tools.
• Review prospect’s current medical offerings and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with carrier partner requirements.
• Handle complex cases such as self-funded groups and large enrollments.
• Collaborate with Sales to explain pricing guidelines and requirements.
• Assist in training new colleagues and contribute to team knowledge.
