Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Health Physics Technician to provide radiation protection coverage and oversight at various US nuclear power plants. You will perform surveys, ensure safe release of personnel and materials, and support ALARA planning and decontamination tasks, reporting to the site manager and working onsite at multiple sites.

The role requires a 3.1A+ qualification with 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power experience, knowledge of radiation safety

Qualifications

• Senior Health Physics Technician with 3.1A+ and 2,000 hours in commercial nuclear power.
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with radiation detection and measurement equipment, including calibration and quality control.

About the Role

Westinghouse is recruiting Senior Health Physics Technicians to work at various Nuclear Power Plants within the United States. Provide radiation protection coverage and oversight for power‑plant activities. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned based on individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. You will report to the Westinghouse site manager and be located onsite at various sites.

Qualifications

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience and qualifications, is estimated to be $34‑$40 per hour.
