Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking Senior Health Physics Technicians to provide Radiation Protection coverage at U.S. nuclear power plants. You will conduct surveys, oversee plant activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards on site at multiple locations.

The role requires 2,000 hours in commercial nuclear power and knowledge of radiation safety principles. Reporting to the site manager, you will be involved in decontamination activities and emergency planning as needed.

About the role

Westinghouse is recruiting Senior Health Physics Technicians to work at various Nuclear Power Plants within the Unites States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activates. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. You will report to the Westinghouse site manager and be located onsite at various locations.

Qualifications

• Senior Health Physics Technician 3.1A or above (requires 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power combined with a systematic approach to training).
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of radiation detection and measurement equipment, including calibration and quality control.
