Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Solution Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs OIT. This fully remote role within the United States focuses on documenting current state architectures, developing future solution architectures, and guiding data interoperability.

Expect collaboration across teams in a dynamic, demanding environment with evolving client needs. Responsibilities include advising stakeholders, crafting roadmaps, and leading architecture initiatives; experience in healthcare tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related field.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Expert-level knowledge and highly innovative problem-solving.
• Experience in Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team.
• Excellent communicator; builds collaborative relationships across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop holistic view of current IT architecture and modernization initiatives.
• Build trusted advisory relationships with the client.
• Create technology roadmaps and runways aligned with strategic goals.
• Interface with users and stakeholders to determine needs.
• Manage and track technical data across products and teams for inquiries.
• Support intake process for new work and change requests.
• Leverage GovCIO resources across programs.
• Monitor memos and directives from leadership and recommend approaches.
• Propose effective architectural solutions in multiple environments.
• Architect complex systems of systems with reuse of components.
• Care for applications in maintenance while designing new solutions.
