Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support Agile software development projects for federal and commercial Health clients. You will lead requirements activities, translate business needs into user stories, and collaborate with product owners and delivery teams to shape scalable software solutions.

You will mentor junior analysts, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and help manage risk, dependencies, and testing efforts to ensure that solutions meet business intent.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Green Card required and ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience translating business needs into technical artifacts (user stories, workflows, data requirements, APIs).
• Experience defining, prioritizing, and delivering data-driven product capabilities leveraging modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Must be willing to work TWO (2) days ONSITE- Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation efforts for Agile software development initiatives.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, testable user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Product Owners to manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog.
• Act as a primary liaison between client stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Define and document functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., security, performance, integration, scalability).
• Support solution design discussions by providing business and system-level insights.
• Identify and manage requirements-related risks, dependencies, assumptions, and impacts.
• Support testing, defect triage, and user acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet business intent.
• Contribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery reporting as needed.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices
