Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale agile software program across multiple workstreams. You will manage schedules, risks, and stakeholders, delivering on-time, on-budget results while maintaining program health and governance.

The role requires 8+ years in Agile IT programs, strong leadership, and deep SDLC understanding. A Federal/public trust clearance is required or obtainable, with a focus on governance and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in Agile software development programs.
• Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects or complex technology initiatives.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Leadership style grounded in coaching and mentorship.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and change management practices.
• Experience with core PM disciplines across multiple workstreams.
• Ability to remove impediments in highly regulated environments.
• Strong leadership presence with team-first mindset.
• Continuous improvement mindset to optimize processes and outcomes.
• Ability to balance urgency with long-term program health.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking aligned to tech roadmaps.
• Experience with business process and workflow automation.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or similar tools).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a large-scale agile software program.
• Oversee multiple workstreams across the full lifecycle.
• Manage program financials including cost projections and ETC/EAC.
• Establish schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies for on-time delivery.
• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports for executives and stakeholders.
• Maintain risk registers, documentation, and communications.
• Ensure adherence to agile practices and governance.
• Foster strong relationships across teams and partners.
