University of Southern California seeks a Senior Health Information Tech to provide clerical and analysis support for the Health Information Management Department. Responsibilities include reporting, validation of electronic documents, and staff training on the EHR system.

The role requires proficiency in Cerner EHR, strong customer service, and excellent written and verbal communication. On-site position in Pasadena, CA, with competitive hourly compensation.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in Health Information Management in an acute care facility.
• Electronic Health Record/Cerner experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Typing speed 60 wpm.
• Advanced writing and communication skills.
• Organizational/time management skills.
• Able to function independently and as a team member.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze the EHR for completion and distribute communication per regulatory requirements.
• Analyze inpatient accounts and assign deficiencies to the provider of care.
• Analyze ambulatory accounts and assign deficiencies to the provider of care.
• Provide accurate summary of document status and tracking for coding and compliance.
• Track incomplete documentation and follow up.
• Compile and validate report data for Physician Suspension Status.
• Understand and follow department policies and priorities.
• Proficient in EHR functionality and troubleshoot issues.
