Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in Health Information Management in an acute care facility.
• Electronic Health Record/Cerner experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Typing speed 60 wpm.
• Advanced writing and communication skills.
• Organizational/time management skills.
• Able to function independently and as a team member.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the EHR for completion and distribute communication per regulatory requirements.
• Analyze inpatient accounts and assign deficiencies to the provider of care.
• Analyze ambulatory accounts and assign deficiencies to the provider of care.
• Provide accurate summary of document status and tracking for coding and compliance.
• Track incomplete documentation and follow up.
• Compile and validate report data for Physician Suspension Status.
• Understand and follow department policies and priorities.
• Proficient in EHR functionality and troubleshoot issues.
