Job summary

Partnership HealthPlan of California seeks a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst I to develop analytic solutions for utilization management, care coordination, quality improvement and population health. You will analyze patient claims, enrollment, and related data to identify opportunities for improvement across programs and performance metrics.

The role requires deep knowledge of healthcare data and large data set work, with Tableau reporting and SAS/SQL proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in health informatics, health administration, public health, computing, epidemiology, statistics or related field.
• Master's degree preferred and four years of data analysis and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of health plan operations: claims processing, membership, provider and benefits.
• Experience with data mining techniques and large datasets; SAS/SQL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and integrates data from disparate sources with business partners and IT.
• Responds to ad hoc data requests from leadership and business units.
• Designs data collection strategies, aggregation, analysis and reporting to ensure data integrity.
• Participates in data analyses and interprets results for improvement recommendations.
• Helps build and maintain predictive models and automates reporting requirements.
• Keeps thorough documentation of programs used to create reports.
