Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Medical Informatics Analyst to join the Health Plan Operations Analytics and Reporting team. You will partner with leaders to develop dashboards, insights, and reports that optimize performance and support key business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with additional relevant experience is required
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or appeals & grievances is preferred
• Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL is highly desired
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization
• Experience with cloud-based analytics tools like Snowflake or Databricks
• Knowledge of statistical analytics, forecasting, and ML/NLP is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven insights, operational reports, and dashboards to support decision-making
• Collaborate with business leaders across Appeals & Grievances and other areas to deliver analytical solutions
• Produce data-driven recommendations to improve performance and reduce costs
