Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced health program leader to manage performance, quality, and governance across health contracts. You will build strong relationships with commissioners, local partners and internal teams to drive service improvements and ensure financial accountability.

Responsibilities include developing policy and referral pathways, leading training, and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in health/public health or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in health or social care post.
• Proven management, leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience with stakeholders and delivering programmes per contractual requirements.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and P&L awareness.
• Familiar with risk analysis and mitigation.
• Experience recruiting and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong report, procedure and policy writing ability.
• Knowledge of NHS/local government and policy context.
• Track record of delivering service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver performance, quality, compliance and financial targets across health contracts.
• Develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
• Promote services to referral networks and commissioners.
• Ensure governance and information management meet required standards.
• Lead training and development for teams; oversee PDPs and appraisals.
• Support clinical governance, audits and continuous improvement.
