Baylor Scott & White Health, based in Texas, seeks a Director of Assistant General Counsel to lead the legal function for designated areas, develop policies, and advise senior leadership on regulatory and risk matters.

The role negotiates complex contracts, guides corporate and health care matters, ensures compliance with applicable laws, and partners across risk, compliance, and operations to protect BSWH's interests.

Competenze

• JD required with licensure in the relevant state.
• 5+ years practicing healthcare law.
• 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Experience with integrated delivery systems, health plans and accountable care organizations.
• Current law license in US state of residence.
• Must obtain a Texas law license within 6–14 months of hire.
• Health Law board certification preferred.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Recommends and implements strategic and operational plans for legal services.
• Directs legal services for corporate, operational, and health care matters; drafts and reviews agreements and reports.
• Advises senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and risk management matters.
