Job summary

CLS Health PLLC in Texas seeks a General Counsel to oversee legal affairs and provide strategic guidance to the President, CEO, and Board. You will lead a small legal team, manage compliance, and advise on contracts, healthcare regulations, and corporate governance.

You will oversee regulatory matters including HIPAA, Stark law, and Anti-Kickback statutes, coordinate audits, and support strategic transactions and risk management across CLS Health clinics.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and Texas licensure in good standing.
• 8+ years of experience in healthcare law and entity management.
• Strong negotiating, drafting, and counseling skills with executives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical legal guidance to senior leadership and Board.
• Manage and budget outside counsel; oversee litigation and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and major transactions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee compliance programs and entity management initiatives.
• Coordinate responses to audits and information requests.
• Advise on HIPAA, HITECH, Stark law, and Anti-Kickback statutes.
