Job summary

Aon is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Health Analytics Data Scientist to lead causal inference and predictive modeling workstreams across US health data. You will own design, validation, documentation, and delivery of analyses that illuminate cost, risk, and program impact, interfacing with actuaries, consultants, and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in health data science, health insurance, or health benefits consulting.
• Strong foundation in applied statistics and causal inference with large healthcare datasets.
• Experience building and deploying tabular predictive models with rigorous validation.
• Proficient in Python and/or R, SQL; familiarity with Databricks/Spark desirable.
• Experience with MLOps, model governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead causal inference and predictive modeling workstreams for US Health Analytics.
• Collaborate with ABS cloud architects and distributed teams on data pipelines and deployment.
• Design and tune tabular models, including cost/utilization forecasting and risk stratification.
• Document methods, assumptions, data definitions, and results for clients and leaders.
• Ensure end-to-end MLOps, model governance, testing, and production readiness.
• Review code/models and mentor junior data scientists across multiple projects.
• Present findings, uncertainty, and limitations to actuaries, consultants, and clients.
