Job summary

Aon is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Health Analytics Data Scientist to lead cost-of-care measurement, causal inference, and predictive modeling across health insurance datasets. You will own design, validation, and delivery of models, working with actuaries, clinicians, and technology partners to push models from development into governed production.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong statistics and ML skills, and a track record of delivering value to clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in health analytics or health economics/actuarial settings.
• Strong foundation in applied statistics and causal inference.
• Experience building and deploying tabular predictive models on large health claims datasets.
• Experience with MLOps, model governance, and production deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of complex results to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver causal inference and predictive modeling workstreams for US Health Analytics, ensuring methodological rigor while building and reviewing models.
• Collaborate with ABS, cloud architects, and offshore teams to align data pipelines and deployment standards.
• Design, build, and tune tabular analyses and predictive models on large health claims datasets.
• Conduct medical economics and causal studies to estimate program impacts using emulation and difference-in-differences designs.
• Document methods and results clearly, and present findings to clients and senior leaders.
• Ensure end-to-end MLOps and model governance, including tracking, registries, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Mentor data scientists and lead multiple projects with clear priorities and milestones.
