Job summary

New York Empire Baseball in Syosset, NY seeks Senior/Head Coaches to own travel team success, lead player development, and uphold high standards for preparation, performance, and culture in a cutting-edge indoor facility, The Hub.

You will mentor assistants, communicate with families, set expectations, and help grow coaches while delivering consistent, high-quality instruction aligned with the organization’s methods and philosophy.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in baseball coaching and team leadership.
• Strong ability to manage group dynamics and develop players over time.
• Confidence communicating with families and representing the organization.
• Alignment with New York Empire Baseball’s values and development philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Owns player development, team performance, and culture for one or more Travel Teams.
• Delivers high-quality instruction aligned with the organization’s methods and philosophy.
• Prepares for and executes sessions, practices, and programs with discipline and detail.
• Collaborates with Assistant Coaches and staff during practices and programming.
• Sets expectations for preparation, effort, behavior, and accountability.
• Supports development of other coaches through feedback and guidance.
• Communicates proactively with families about expectations and progress.
• Represents the organization’s standards and values in all environments.
• Maintains inclusive environment across players, teams, and parents.
