Job summary

Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL is seeking a Field Services Technician III to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials, with little or no supervision.

Note: This position requires new hires to attend our out-of-state Academy training, which may require being away from home for a period of time.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Field Service Technician experience.
• On-call responsibilities and potential weekend/holiday work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority.
• Perform hazardous waste cleanup and site remediation tasks.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use PPE properly.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Complete paperwork and inspections.
• Follow all regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating schedule.
