Job summary

Raytheon in Andover, MA seeks a mid-level Senior Hardware Test Engineer to join the Mechanical Analysis and Test Department onsite. You will plan and execute comprehensive hardware tests, including vibration and environmental tests, while interfacing with design, manufacturing, and external customers.

You will lead test activities, analyze dynamic and thermal data, and mentor junior staff. Domestic and international factory/supplier testing is expected, with opportunities to shape department

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude in a lab environment.
• Experience in signal processing, data acquisition, field test instrumentation, or structural testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation planning and test conduct of all hardware tests.
• Perform dynamic and thermal data acquisition and analysis.
• Work with design engineering, structural analysis, manufacturing, and customers.
• Mentor and provide test guidance to junior section members.
• Support factory and supplier testing domestically and internationally.
• Act as a technical leader and lead teams to meet program milestones.
