Job summary

CENTEGIX is seeking a Senior Hardware Test Engineer in Annapolis, MD, to join our testing team. This role involves hands-on lab duties, including hardware and firmware testing for the CrisisAlert system. You'll design and deploy testing protocols while collaborating with various engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6 years of professional test engineering experience in embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience validating low‑power embedded systems using industry-standard methodologies.
• Experience with firmware verification, communication protocols, and diagnostic hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain hardware and firmware for Hardware-in-the-Loop test jigs.
• Execute comprehensive test plans for firmware deployments.
• Use lab equipment for signal-level diagnosis and debugging.

Skills

Test engineering experience in embedded systems

Validating low-power embedded systems

Firmware verification

Test automation in Python

Lab equipment diagnostics

AWS IoT and AWS CloudWatch

Designing 2–4 layer PCBs

End-to-end ownership of test plans

Proficient with Git

Working knowledge of HIL environments

Basic Electrical Engineering principles

Hands-on skills including soldering

Sourcing components for prototyping
