Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join the Trusted Electronics and Effects team. You will apply hardware-in-the-loop bench automation, test harness orchestration, and CI workflows to verify embedded software.

The role emphasizes Python, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AI test instrumentation, with on-site support in Linthicum and hands-on debugging of UART, SPI, I2C, and JTAG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Experience designing or using automated test harnesses, HIL setups, or test bench environments.
• Proficient in Python, C, C++, or Rust for bench automation and test scripting.
• Experience establishing CI pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and containerized execution (Docker).
• Hands-on with UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG and embedded bus monitoring.
• Ability to provide on-site support in Linthicum, MD daily.

Responsibilities

• Leverage test harnesses to accelerate software and firmware verification for security and research missions.
• Automate target device execution, bench control, and continuous test suites for rapid, reproducible testing.
• Operate under minimal supervision following established practices to validate software behavior and patch deployment.
