Job summary

Aurelius Systems, based in San Francisco, seeks an embedded test engineer to own full system integration testing from firmware to electrical level. You will write test firmware, wire harnesses, and develop automation to validate the directed energy system through iterative prototyping to production.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in embedded firmware, strong debugging across electronics, and experience with HIL/SIL environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years embedded firmware development with C/C++ and RTOS
• Experience writing test code that exercises hardware end-to-end
• Strong debugging across firmware, power rails, and electronics

Responsibilities

• Testing end-to-end: setup, data collection, teardown, analysis, and writeups
• Write firmware and embedded test code (C/C++, real time)
• Wire test electronics, build harnesses, instrumentation, fixtures
• Develop automated test procedures in Python
• Debug across firmware, power rails, and electrical systems
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and readiness gates
• Collaborate with hardware on DFM and production readiness
• Build HIL and SIL test environments
• Enforce safety in high-power, high-voltage testing environments
