Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Hardware Technician to support hands-on lab work in an on-site Burlington, MA lab. The role involves PCB rework, system configuration and server bring-up, and extensive hardware testing in a sustaining and validation context.

Responsibilities include maintaining lab readiness, documenting results, and collaborating with engineers to improve lab throughput and processes. On-site commitment and strong adherence to safety and ESD procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant lab experience in electronics.
• PCB rework with through-hole and SMT experience.
• Experience configuring servers and system bring-up.
• Firmware updates and OS installation following procedures.
• Lab infrastructure setup (racks, cabling, PDUs, validation equipment).

Responsibilities

• Perform component-level PCB rework using standard lab tools.
• Modify hardware and perform board rework to support qualification.
• Follow ESD and safety procedures; maintain tools and work area.
• Assemble and configure servers, install CPUs, DIMMs, and PCIe components.
• Perform system bring-up and basic validation (boot, enumeration, health checks).
• Maintain lab infrastructure and assist with calibration, inventory, and lab readiness.
